Who can apply for an 870 Visa Australia?   

 

To be eligible to apply for this visa, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be the parent of an eligible sponsor in Australia. Your eligible sponsor can be your child, child-in-law, or stepchild who is an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen.

• Age requirement: You must be 18 years of age or older to apply for this visa.

Who can be a sponsor for a Sponsored Parent Visa (Subclass 870)?

 

To sponsor someone for the Sponsored Parent Visa 870, you must meet the following residency and visa history requirements:

• Residential Requirements:

You must be one of the following:

• An Australian citizen, or

• An Australian permanent resident who has held permanent residency for at least 4 years, or

• An eligible New Zealand citizen who has been usually resident in Australia for at least 4 years.

• Previous Visa Requirement:

You must not have held a bridging visa (other than Bridging Visa A, B, or C) or have stayed unlawfully in Australia at any time during the past 4 years.

• Sponsoring Your Partner’s Parents:
  You can sponsor your partner’s parents for the 870 visa. However, your partner must also be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen.

• Income Test Requirement:
  To meet the financial eligibility criteria, your taxable income for the most recently completed taxable income year before submitting the sponsorship application must be at least AUD 83,454.80.
  This ensures that sponsors have the financial capacity to support the visiting parent(s) during their stay in Australia.

• Combining Income to Meet the Income Test:
  If you are unable to meet the income requirement of AUD 83,454.80 on your own, you may combine your taxable income with that of:

  • Your partner, or

  • Another child of the visa applicant who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.

  In such cases, your individual income must make up at least 50% of the total required income (i.e., at least AUD 41,727.40).

• No Outstanding Debts:
  As a sponsor, you must not have any outstanding debts to the Australian Government. If you do, you must have either:

  • Repaid the debt, or

  • Entered into a formal repayment arrangement.

• Character Requirements:
  You must provide police clearance certificates from every country where you have lived for 12 months or more in the last 10 years, to meet the character requirements.

What are the 870 sponsored parent visa requirements?  

 

1. Eligible Sponsor

You must have an eligible sponsor in Australia. The sponsor must be your:

• Child

• Child-in-law (e.g. son-in-law or daughter-in-law), or

• Stepchild

And they must be one of the following:

• An Australian citizen

• An Australian permanent resident, or

• An eligible New Zealand citizen

2. No Outstanding Debts

• Both you and your sponsor must not have any outstanding debts to the Australian Government.

• If any debt exists, it must be either fully repaid or arrangements must be in place to repay it before the visa is granted.

3. Meet Health and Character Requirements

• You must undergo health checks and provide police clearance certificates for each country you've lived in for 12 months or more in the past 10 years.

• These checks ensure you meet the health and character standards set by the Australian Government.

4. Have Sufficient Funds

• You must show that you have access to adequate financial resources to support yourself during your stay in Australia.

• This includes covering daily living expenses, accommodation, and other costs without relying on public funds.

5. Health Insurance Requirement

• As 870 visa holders are not eligible for Medicare, you must obtain and maintain adequate health insurance for the entire duration of your stay.

6. Genuine Temporary Stay

• You must demonstrate that your stay in Australia is temporary and for the purpose of spending time with your sponsor (your child or their partner).

• Your intention must be to return to your home country once the visa expires.

To show this, you should provide:

• A clear statement explaining your reasons for visiting

• Evidence of ties to your home country (such as property, employment, or family commitments)

• Details of your plans while in Australia (e.g. living arrangements, activities with your sponsor)

7. Meet Previous Visa Conditions

• If you’ve previously held an Australian visa, you must have complied with all conditions of that visa.

• Past visa breaches or unlawful stay may affect your eligibility for the Subclass 870 visa.

What You Can Do with a Sponsored Parent Visa (Subclass 870):

 

•  Stay in Australia for an Extended Period

You can live in Australia for up to 3 or 5 years, depending on the visa granted.

•  Multiple Entries

This visa allows you to travel in and out of Australia freely during its validity period.

• Extend Your Stay — Up to 10 Years Total

You can apply for additional 870 visas to extend your stay in Australia, with a maximum total stay of 10 years.

Note: This visa does not lead to permanent residency (PR). If you wish to become a permanent resident, you would need to apply for a different type of visa.

:شرط درآمد

:ترکیب درآمد

اگر به تنهایی قادر به رسیدن به این حد درآمد نیستید، می‌توانید درآمد خود را با یکی از موارد زیر ترکیب کنید

شریک زندگی‌تان 

 فرزند دیگری از متقاضی ویزا که شهروند استرالیا، دارنده اقامت دائم یا شهروند واجد شرایط نیوزیلند باشد

در این شرایط، درآمد فردی شما باید حداقل ۵۰ درصد از حداقل درآمد مورد نیاز یعنی حداقل ۴۱,۷۲۷.۴۰ دلار استرالیا باشد

:نداشتن بدهی معوق به دولت استرالیا

حامی باید هیچ بدهی معوقی به دولت استرالیا نداشته باشد. در صورت وجود بدهی، حامی باید یکی از موارد زیر را انجام داده باشد

پرداخت کامل بدهی، یا - 

تنظیم توافقنامه رسمی برای بازپرداخت بدهی - 

:شرایط حسن سابقه

برای تأیید حسن سابقه، حامی باید گواهی عدم سوءپیشینه از تمام کشورهایی که در ۱۰ سال گذشته به مدت ۱۲ ماه یا بیشتر در آنها اقامت داشته، ارائه دهد

:داشتن منابع مالی کافی

برای دریافت ویزای ۸۷۰، باید ثابت کنید که منابع مالی کافی برای تأمین هزینه‌های خود در طول اقامت در استرالیا را دارید
این هزینه‌ها شامل مخارج روزانه، اقامت و سایر هزینه‌های لازم می‌شود و نباید از کمک‌های عمومی استفاده کنید

:الزام داشتن بیمه سلامت

دارندگان ویزای ۸۷۰ به خدمات مدیکر دسترسی ندارند، بنابراین لازم است بیمه سلامت مناسبی را برای کل مدت اقامت خود تهیه و حفظ کنند
